Today, thanks to our amazing ADMIN, my 6th graders had an absolute blast at our ridiculously fun art workshop day! Students got to create a glue and acrylic batik, painted with water guns, fly swatters, bubbles, and tie dyed shirts! Fly swatter painting was the clear favorite and boy can they whack a watercolor soaked cotton ball with style! Paint went everywhere!
On Thursday, May 1, our sixth graders traveled to Wilkerson Stadium to compete in a track meet against Dobbs, Reinhart, and Nebbie Elementary schools.
Earlier this month, Rochell's talented Art Teacher, Elizabeth Churchill, put together the most amazing art show. Rochell students created glow in the dark art projects. The finished product was spectacular. Students and visitors entering the Glow Art Show received glow sticks and glow in the dark temporary tattoos. The show was a huge success!
On April 3rd, Rochell Elementary hosted a Family Math Night. Mathnasium Rockwall-Heath provided stations for staff to run and teach families math games they can play at home. It was a fun and educational night for all.
Rochell 5th graders recently competed in the district Battle of the Books competition.
